Partnerships

Network of Growers

Since 2014, Ark. IPL has worked with local gardeners and farmers to build a network of local growers with more than 240 partners. They share knowledge, skills, tools, seeds, and food with one another. They also share surplus food with area food pantries.

Little Rock Partners: Second Presbyterian Church, Islamic Center for Human Excellence Garden, Hillary Clinton Children’s Public Library and Greenhouse, No Closed Doors Community Youth Group, The Village Place Community Garden, The Dream Center Garden, Azalea Neighborhood Garden, Greater Christ Temple Pentecostal Church Promise Garden, Woodruff Neighborhood Garden, Oak Forest Neighborhood Garden, Dunbar Junior High Garden, Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center, Booker Elementary School Garden, PATH (Physicians Against Trafficking Humans), OK Project (Little Rock Police and Pastor Mentors), El Zocalo Hispanic Resource Center Garden, Hope Rises Garden (for previously incarcerated women), Crump Neighborhood Garden, East Second St. Garden, Pulaski Heights Elementary School Garden, Kurtis Priebe’s Urban Orchard & Greenhouse, and many more.

Girl Scouts

Working with Ark. Interfaith Power & Light, Girl Scouts in Arkansas are earning patches and badges, such as Outdoor Adventure, Hiker, Eco Friend, Earth Day, Martin Luther King Day, Community Service, Make the World a Better Place, and more! Girls learn about energy efficiency and protecting fragile ecosystems.

NEW ENERGY STAR RESOURCE GUIDEBOOK

We Have Good News…

Ark. IPL has partnered with the Environmental Protection Agency to offer a guidebook to help houses of worship reduce energy consumption.

Information includes gaining clergy support, motivating the congregation, and forming an environmental stewardship ministry (green team).
