Houses of worship may apply for energy efficiency make-overs from Arkansas Interfaith Power & Light. Applications will be available at the March 23-24 retreat at Ferncliff Retreat Center in Central Arkansas. Information is available at www.arkansasipl.org
Past retrofit projects include Duncan United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Wofford Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Helena, Mount Comfort Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville and Simone’s Home for Foster Teenage Girls.
Those interested may bring energy bills from the last two years, if possible, and complete a make-over application at the retreat.

The retreat also will offer the following workshops:

- Sarah DeVries, Ark. Dept. of Environmental Quality on “watershed protection”
- Frank Kelly, Solar Source Consulting on “solar potential in Arkansas”
- Harmony Hudson, administrative specialist with Ark. Energy Office on “energy efficiency”
- Terry Tremwel, University of Arkansas professor, on “the science of climate change”
- Rev. David Gill, Ferncliff Camp, on “green mission outreach”
- Rev. Malik Saafir on “social justice”
Retreat: $125 for overnight accommodations and 3 meals, based on double occupancy
