The Arkansas Renewable Energy Association (AREA) and Arkansas Interfaith Power and Light (AIPL) will host a rally supporting renewable energy in Arkansas on the front steps of the Arkansas State Capitol this Tuesday, March 17, at 11:30 a.m.  All are welcome to attend.

AREA and AIPL support House Bill 1885, sponsored by Representative Warwick Sabin and Senator David Burnett. Rev. Stephen Copley, board chairman for Ark. IPL, will welcome those gathered and speak to the faith community’s stewardship responsibility for creation care.

Frank Kelly, chairman of AREA, will speak to the many benefits renewable energy generated in Arkansas has to offer.

William Ball, CEO of Stellar Sun will discuss HB 1885 (The Distributed Generation Act of 2015) and what the policy means for Arkansas.

The public address system will be powered by a portable solar array.
