April 22, 2014: Earth Day Dinner and Concert with Bonnie Montgomery at Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church, Little Rock. Chef Z Lapicz prepared a delicious vegetarian meal. We honored Bishop Kenneth Hicks and Mrs. Elaine Hicks. We gave a gift to Village Commons to support the Common Cents program, which provides energy efficiency improvements to low-income homeowners.

June 18, 2014: Green Sheep met at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church and discussed the huge hog farm in the Buffalo River Watershed, among other environmental issues.

October, 2013 – Tighten Up Treat Bags with energy efficiency items were distributed to 50 families at the Hillary Clinton Children’s Library in Little Rock.

December, 2013 – Holiday Gift Bags with energy efficiency items were distributed to 75 families at the Orchard on the campus of Mosaic Church in Little Rock.

July 20, 2013 – 11:15 a.m. – National Clean Energy Bus Tour stopped in Little Rock at 1301 S. Main St. (SoMa) – across the street from the Oxford American and Midtown Billiards. Our sound system was plugged into a portable solar power supply. Rev. Stephen Copley, Chairman of Ark. IPL Board of Directors, spoke to those gathered. Join us anytime to support the National Climate Action Plan.  #ActOnClimate

July 21, 2013 – 4 p.m. – “DIRT!” documentary at Second Presbyterian Church, 600 Pleasant Valley Drive, Little Rock.

July 22, 2013 – 5:30 p.m. – Ice Cream Social and Neighborhood Weatherization Kick-Off at Oak Forest United Methodist Church. Guests learned about saving energy and money at home and at houses of worship. They signed up for free energy audits at their homes. An energy assessor explained how utility rebates and discount offers can result in lower energy use with little or no out-of-pocket expense.
