A crowd of people plus two dogs gathered at the Beacon of Peace and Hope on the banks of the Arkansas River for an interfaith worship service on Earth Day, April 22, 2012. Rev. Malik Saafir and Rev. Steve Copley led the group in celebrating creation. A freewill offering went to the Nature Conservancy. The oldest person who attended is 99 years old.
